    Adesh Jain, Avaya

    New WashingtonExec Series:

WashingtonExec reached out to executives in the community for their insights on issues concerning the mobility industry. Can mobility remain cost effective while being efficient, and how does it reduce cost for clients?

Our fifth participant is Adesh Jain, Vice President and General Manager of Avaya Government Solutions.

    Adesh Jain:

The top 3 benefits that come to my mind are:

    – Far improved access to right people and right information at any given time that has changed the expectations and work culture for better. Because of mobility and real-time collaboration, a person or team respond to critical issues right away and collaborate with others in real-time to resolve issues that could otherwise take days.

    – Location awareness and other relevant mobile features like user identity have provided cost benefits and improved citizen services that were not possible before.

    – Paper reduction while improving user experience is another great benefit. For example, National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS) is working on providing access to digital books to its patrons using mobile technologies that not only provide cost savings but far improved and timely access to books and magazines.
