Recently, CACI International Inc announced it was awarded a $39 million task order contract to support the Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) in developing a standards-based IT system to modernize and streamline the security clearance process. This delivery order falls under DoD’s Encore II contract vehicle for a seven-month base period and nine overlapping option periods of varying lengths.

The DLA provides worldwide logistics, acquisition, and technical support to the military services as well as several civilian agencies and foreign countries. Under this task order, CACI will provide software and integration services to help develop a Service Oriented Architecture-based solution that will increase the efficiency and timeliness of DoD’s security clearance process.

CACI’s a of U.S. Operations Dan Allen said, “With this new task order to support the Department of Defense, CACI will enhance the nation’s ability to ensure that only the highest quality professionals receive security clearances.”

According to Paul Cofoni, CACI President and CEO, “CACI is focused on delivering government transformation solutions that help federal agencies reduce costs and increase productivity while meeting budgetary challenges. This is a key element in our growth strategy to deliver shareholder value by offering services and solutions for the government’s highest priorities.”

Paul Cofoni recently interviewed with WashingtonExec about his picks for this NFL season as well as his favorite book. Read the Q&A here.
