    Michael King, Peraton

Peraton has appointed Michael King, formerly a vice president at Northrop Grumman Corp., as its chief growth officer.

King takes up his new role effective March 19, 2018, assuming responsibility for all aspects of Peraton’s growth strategy, including business development, capture, proposal operations, strategic pricing, customer engagement and mergers and acquisitions, the company said.

King will also work with Peraton’s chief technology officer and its executive leadership team to ensure Peraton’s technology capabilities stay current to meet its customers’ current and future mission requirements.

“Michael is a true visionary in our industry and understands the importance of delivering differentiated value to each of our customers,” Peraton President and CEO Stu Shea said. “Michael’s extensive understanding of Peraton’s customers and his broad experience in implementing sustainable growth strategies make him an ideal leader to advance Peraton’s growth objectives.”

Before joining Peraton, King was vice president for business development at Northrop Grumman’s Cyber and Intelligence Mission Solutions division, where he led business development efforts in support of a $1 billion portfolio of cyber, data management, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance solutions for government customers.

He previously served as vice president of business development for Northrop Grumman’s former Civil division, and has held several senior leadership roles in strategy, account management and sales supporting cyber, civil, state and local, and commercial portfolios earlier in his career.

King was appointed to the Intelligence and National Security Alliance board of advisers in 2018 and currently serves as treasurer of the IJIS Institute’s board of directors.

The government IT services company was part of Harris Corp. before acquired by Veritas in April 2017 and rebranded as Peraton. The company has named several new senior executives since its rebranding, including a president for its homeland security sector, chief technology officer, chief financial officer, chief security officer, chief human resources officer, chief communications officer and president of its newly formed Space, Intelligence and Cyber sector.
