John Pitsenberger has been hired as Peraton’s chief financial officer as the company prepares to launch its new brand.
Peraton was previously Harris Corp.’s Government Services business before being acquired by Veritas Capital earlier this year. Peraton continues to operate as a stand-alone company.
Pitsenberger was executive vice president and CFO of Sotera Defense Solutions before coming to Peraton . He has also worked as vice president and corporate controller of Pacific Architects and Engineers and Apptis.
“John brings the right expertise to advance our aggressive growth plans for the company,” said CEO Stu Shea. “He knows how to develop and lead finance and accounting organizations of top government contractors. His extensive industry insight will further strengthen our competitive position in delivering innovative solutions to our nation’s most sensitive and mission-critical programs.”
Pitsenberger began his career in public accounting at Beers & Cutler, PLLC, which is now Baker Tilly. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Peraton provides secure communications, space and technology solutions. It is headquartered in Herndon, Virginia.
