Akima subsidiary RiverTech has been awarded the Aircrew Training; Live, Virtual and Constructive; Academic; and Simulator contract to provide flight training services to the U.S. Air Forces Europe and Africa.

The total value of the contract is $40 million over 5 years, if all options are exercised.

“Ensuring that today’s airmen have the requisite skills and knowledge needed to fly, fight, and win is critically important,” said Scott Rauer, president of Akima’s Facilities Solutions Group.

“We are proud to deliver tactical, academic, and simulator instruction on mission sets and weapons employment so that USAFE-AFAFRICA personnel and resources can remain mission focused,” he added.

The contract was awarded under the OASIS Small Business indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract.

RiverTech will provide academic training including, but not limited to cockpit/crew resource management, instrument refresher course, theater indoctrination, local area orientation, mission qualification and flight lead academics and simulator training.
