IT and scientific services and solutions company A-TEK, Inc., has finalized its acquisition of Mackson Consulting, LLC.

Mackson will now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of A-TEK and be recognized as Mackson, an A-TEK Company.

A-TEK CEO Kathryn Freeland stays on as CEO of the combined entity. She said the acquisition meets an important 2019 strategic goal for A-TEK and will be key in fortifying the company’s presence in the federal market.

“We are excited to broaden our range of technology solutions to meet the rapidly and constantly changing needs of our entire customer base, strengthen our industry partnerships and by our ability to help support agencies in achieving mission success, whenever, wherever, and however possible,” she said. “We are extremely pleased to welcome Mackson and its employees to Team A-TEK.”

Mackson provides support to federal agencies including the departments of Health and Human Services and Veterans Affairs. A-TEK said the acquisition will help position the company as a federal health IT market leader.

Mary Biear, founder and former Mackson CEO, remains with the company after the acquisition.
