Rick Wagner, ManTech

In Rick Wagner’s first year as president of Mission, Cyber & Intelligence Solutions at ManTech International Corp., his group secured multiple multihundred-million-dollar IT and cybersecurity contracts supporting national and homeland security.

Those wins a nearly $1 billion enterprise IT services award for a major Defense Department customer, as well as a $669 million win for continuous diagnostics and mitigation for the Department of Homeland Security.

“ManTech’s success results from our total dedication to our customers’ missions and our commitment to hiring, training and advancing the careers of great people who share that dedication,” Wagner said. “Our goal is to maintain and build on this successful business model in the years ahead.”

Prior to joining ManTech in 2015, Wagner worked at TASC, Inc., where he held increasingly senior roles, including that of chief strategy officer. Earlier in his career, he was an engineer and program manager for DOD.

Why Watch:

As ManTech comes off its 50th anniversary, look for the company to continue to play a vital role in an active marketplace.

“Customer missions demand secure technologies and we are eager to deploy advanced technologies and solutions that both modernize and protect vital infrastructure creating mission advantage for our customers,” Wagner said.

He said the company will continue to prioritize a highly skilled workforce and prized workplace culture.

“We encourage a collaborative environment where our people can exchange ideas to provide thought leadership, and we offer company-paid courses in cyber and cloud that can lead to government-approved certifications and college degrees, and help advance our employees’ careers,” he said. “Among the greatest tributes to our efforts: the hundreds of ManTech alumni who have returned here after working elsewhere because they love our culture.”
