The former chief executive of PacStar Communications has joined Juniper Networks as vice president of its U.S. federal team.

Dunn has over 25 years of experience working with large businesses and startups, as well as in the private-equity field. He will lead Juniper’s federal team, leveraging his knowledge of data networking, cloud, Internet Protocol, middleware, software-as-a-service, data centers and other advanced technologies.

In this new position, Dunn will continue to hire top talent and bringing Juniper’s network solutions to the federal government. He will ensure Juniper continues to meet the needs of government, especially in the areas of data center and network modernization, and cloud migration.

“In my new role, I look forward to helping federal technology leaders transition to a more modernized, agile and cost-effective network,” Dunn said. “The talent and level of innovation within Juniper is second to none, and I am excited to bring these resources to bear to advance the state of government IT.”

Dunn previously spent 10 years at Nortel Government Solutions and served as vice president at Camber. He currently is on the board of AFCEA DC.
