IOMAXIS announced March 7 the promotion of Bob Burleson from CFO to CEO. Burleson replaces Dennis Kelly, who will remain involved with the company’s leadership in his position as IOMAXIS’ Board of Advisers Chairman. In his new role, Burleson will be responsible for leading and executing IOMAXIS’ rapid growth and business expansion strategies.

“Bob has been instrumental in our incredible growth and our adoption of business practices and operations that are essential in scaling to our accelerated pace. We look forward to his continued leadership in moving our company to even greater levels of success,” IOMAXIS founder and managing partner Brad Buhr said. “His extensive business experience in building great companies is unparalleled. We are excited about his increased role and continued impact on the company.”

Burleson has served as the CFO of Majestic Asset Trust/Paragon Systems and CFO for CyberEvent LLC, in leadership roles at Software Process Technologies Inc., Sotera Defense Solutions, Tech Team Government Solutions and American Type Culture Collection.

In addition to his responsibilities at IOMAXIS, Burleson is on the boards of directors for Trevigen Inc. and the Biomedical Research Institute. He is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University.

Burleson has a degree in finance from George Mason University and an MBA in accounting and finance from Marymount University.
