For five years, WashingtonExec has provided a single platform for government contracting professionals to grow as individuals and as a community through trusted relationships and leadership opportunities.

At the core of this are our leadership councils, focus groups where we come together to tackle the challenges and celebrate the successes specific to our fields.

These councils would be nowhere without the women and men who chair them, and this week WashingtonExec held our inaugural Chairmen’s Dinner to highlight their leadership and look toward the future.

Greg J. Baroni, chairman and CEO of Attain, LLC, moderated the lively discussion where each leader shared some successes stories from their councils.

“WashingtonExec continues to provide our region’s executives and industry thought leaders with invaluable forums, networking, and personal branding opportunities that help us drive innovation and create greater value for our respective clients,” he said. “I am so proud to be surrounded by this esteemed group of colleagues and WashingtonExec committee chairs.”

Throughout the evening, a central theme kept coming up.

“You need a lot of things to be successful in business,” Gary Shiffman, president and CEO of Giant Oak, Inc., “and the most important aspect is trust.”
