The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce will present the 2016 Outstanding Corporate Citizenship Awards from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 21 at The Ritz-Carlton.
Nominees are selected who exemplify above-and-beyond business leadership, employee engagement and corporate social responsibility in the region.
WashingtonExec is a finalists in the Outstanding Corporate Citizen of the Year (Small Business) category for its successful 2016 K-12 STEM Symposium held on Saturday, March 12th. The largest STEM Symposium in Northern Virginia, the free K-12 STEM Symposium provides the opportunity for students, parents and teachers in the National Capital Region (NCR) to interact with key business, education, non-profit and government leaders through real-life applications and presentations about how science, technology, engineering and mathematics impacts our community.
Other notable finalists include Octo Consulting Group and SOS International LLC in the Outstanding Corporate Citizen of the Year (Mid-Size Business) category; Robert Jordan of Octo Consulting Group in the Emerging Influential of the Year category; Mac Curtis of Vencore and Mehul Sanghani of Octo Consulting in the Executive Leader of the Year category; and CACI International Inc., CALIBRE Systems Inc, Leidos, Octo Consulting and SOS International in the Outstanding Veteran and Military Advocate Award.
This year’s event will honor the leadership of 2015-2016 Chairman Mitch Weintraub, Partner, Cordia Partners and welcomes 2016-2017 Chairman Jennifer Aument, Group General Manager of North America, Transurban.
