It was announced on December 3rd by Arlington, Va.-based Endgame, Inc. that it has promoted Jamie Butler to Chief Technology Officer. Butler brings over 17 years of operating system security experience and knowledge to his new role. He will use his expertise to enhance Endgame’s ability to analyze attack patterns and help its customers better defend against advanced threats.
Nathaniel Fick, CEO of Endgame said, “Jamie is a natural fit for the position. During his first year as Endgame’s Chief Scientist he has led our team to usher in technological advancements and groundbreaking research to support our customers’ protection efforts. The sophistication of attack methods is growing and we need to continue to drive research, as Jamie has, to protect our customers and support their missions. Under his leadership we look forward to having a positive impact on our customers’ security postures.”
In the year 2016 Endgame’s R&D team plans on expanding its number of researchers to more than 25. Butler will play a key role in leading this team’s efforts in identifying emerging threats & threat vectors as well as discovering new approaches for mitigating endpoint attacks. Butler will be charged with operating one of the industry’s largest security data science teams and the development of highly sophisticated detection products.
