Nominations are now being accepted for the 2014 Greater Washington Government Contracting Awards, according to the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce.

The awards honor leadership, innovation and commitment to excellence in the region’s government contracting community.

Presented by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce (Fairfax Chamber) and the Professional Services Council, the awards will be held Nov. 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner.

A networking event dubbed the “Academy Awards of Government Contracting,” the event draws nearly 1,000 industry and government leaders.

Nominations are open through June 13, and registration for the event will open in the fall.

Award categories include Contractor of the Year (4 awards); Executive of the Year (3 awards) and Public Sector Partner of the Year.

The Ritz-Carlton is located at 1700 Tysons Blvd. in McLean.
