A one-day expo March 22 will cover “everything you need to know about how important STEM is for Northern Virginia,” according to the host group, NOVA SySTEMic Solutions.
The NOVA SySTEMic Solutions STEM EXPO is a free event that will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Northern Virginia Community College’s Loudoun campus, located at 1000 Harry Flood Byrd Highway in Sterling.
The event is set to include exhibits, inspiring speakers and enlightening tours that seek to highlight the importance of engaging students, teachers and professionals in STEM education and career.
Astronaut Tom Jones will deliver a keynote presentation.
Free snacks and parking will be available, according to the program.
SySTEMic Solutions is the STEM initiative at Northern Virginia Community College. The program’s mission is to develop a sustainable STEM pipeline in Northern Virginia, encouraging elementary-school students to pursue STEM education in high school, college and the workforce through a collaboration with schools, businesses and community organizations.
