It was announced on January 11th by Tysons, Va.-based Zantech IT Services, Inc. that it has named Dr. Greg Hanson Chief Operating Officer effective January 11th. Dr. Hanson will be responsible for providing leadership in the areas of business development, revenue and sales growth, contract management, execution and delivery. He will be succeeding Dr. C. Allan Foy who has served as COO since 2008. Dr. Foy plans to retire, however will remain involved with the company serving as Senior Advisor.
“Allan has provided invaluable service to Zantech, setting the standards for the delivery of superior products and services since Zantech’s beginnings,” stated Zia Islam, CEO of Zantech. “His leadership has been instrumental in establishing Zantech as a successful and growing Federal services prime contractor. We wish him well in his retirement. We are excited to have Greg join the company and to apply his leadership, business expertise, and industry knowledge to guide Zantech as we enter the next phase of the company’s growth.”
Dr. Hanson brings over 30 years of leadership experience to this new role. He has served in such capacities as President, General Manager, COO, CIO and CTO for various technology and IT service companies. Prior to joining the technology industry Dr. Hanson served in the U.S. Air Force and retired as Chief Software Engineer at USAF Headquarters.
