Top MarCom Execs to Watch in 2024: Veritas Technologies’ Brady Kavulic

    Brady Kavulic, Veritas Technologies

    Brady Kavulic

Director of Americas Public Sector Marketing, Veritas Technologies

Brady Kavulic spent the last 18 years of his 25-year marketing career focused on public sector, successfully navigating its highly complex and unique arena.

In his current role at Veritas, he’s responsible for the healthcare, federal, and state and local government segments, as well as government resellers and distributors. With this broad scope, he consistently delivers 110%+ of pipeline targets and exceeds industry ROI benchmarks.

Kavulic views success in many ways and acknowledges there is no silver bullet to marketing.

“Our customers are human, and humans seek information from different sources,” he said. “So, we need to be where they are looking and serve up content that is engaging and gets right to the point with minimal fluff.”

A colleague told him a story about a call with multiple competitors during which one competitor angrily proclaimed Kavulic’s company “keeps showing up everywhere!” That is success that can’t be measured but is critical.

His approach to team leadership is straightforward: engage, empower and elevate. This involves creating a space where everyone can contribute to the team’s direction, trusting everyone understands their assigned roles and is given the tools needed for success, and recognizing and appreciating contributions to support career advancement.

Marketing is a team sport, and it’s a big team. Kavulic’s “team” consists of players from inside and outside his organization, like sales, engineering, social media, partners, brand, vendors, associations, media, distributors, resellers, CSPs, analysts and even customers, to name just a few.

    Why Watch

Public sector is one of the most dynamic and challenging customer sets given its 2 million employees and more than 90,000 government bodies spread across North America. Veritas is in the multicloud data management and protection space, and it’s more important than ever for public sector entities to take control of their data and stay resilient.

Organizations are popping up every day with the latest “new shiny things,” but public sector organizations need to stay vigilant on what they bring into their IT environments as one wrong step could lead to data loss, financial loss, citizen trust in government loss, or worse, human loss.

Veritas has been a leader in this resiliency space for over 20 years and that is not by accident, but because of results.

Fun fact: Kavulic is married with two daughters, who are both high school athletes. If he’s not rooting at one of the three sports they play, he enjoys spending a weekend afternoon in the garage listening to classic rock while washing his cars.
