Noblis, Inc., a nonprofit science and engineering research corporation and provider of strategic advisory services headquartered in Falls Church, Va., on Monday announced it acquired Annapolis-based National Security Partners, LLC, an Intelligence Community-focused consulting and technology development firm.
The deal leverages NSPâs identity intelligence, counter WMD, homeland security, big data analytics and overhead/airborne ISR capabilities to position it as the ânew cornerstoneâ of Noblisâ cyber intelligence mission, Noblis wrote in a press statement.
Bob Kipps, a managing director at KippsDeSanto, spoke optimistically about the M&A market and said the deal was a strategic entry for Noblis into the National Intel space.
âThe deal further reflects the improved M&A market this year for the solid performing and better positioned firms,â he said.
NSP will under the deal operate as a wholly subsidiary of Noblis and report to L. Roger Mason, the senior vice president for Noblisâ National Security and Intelligence group.
âNSP has a first class and respected reputation in the cyber intelligence space,â Mason said. âTackling todayâs complex national security challenges demands that we marshal the best of our skills across diverse domains and this new team is poised to help address those toughest problems.â
The McLean Groupâs Greg Woodford, a senior managing director and Andy Smith, principal, served as lead advisors on the deal.
Noblis did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction.
