    Capgemini Names Douglas Charles CEO

    Douglas Charles has been appointed Chief Executive Officer  (CEO) of Capgemini Government Solutions LLC, a member of the Capgemini group.

    In his new role, Charles will continue to drive strategy and growth for Capgemini with U.S. public sector clients in the areas of unemployment insurance, business information, independent verification and validation, and consulting services.

    “Capgemini continues to work to be a partner of choice for federal, state and local agencies by providing solutions to help our clients overcome the significant challenges and expectations of today’s public sector arena.,” said chief executive officer, Capgemini U.S. LLC., Lanny Cohen. “Doug’s wealth of experience in technology consulting in both the public and private sectors, aided by his keen knowledge of Capgemini’s leading solutions and technologies across the globe, reinforces Capgemini’s ability to serve the public sector in the United States. Doug and the rest of our team are committed to offering results-driven solutions and services that can address important issues and opportunities for our clients.”

    Before Capgemini, Charles served was VP in the Capgemini Applications Services business unit in North America, focusing on a number of areas like market development, alliances, and services offerings. Charles rejoined Capgemini in 2010 after working for five years at SAIC. Prior to SAIC, Charles spent 11 years with Ernst & Young and Capgemini in various roles, and also helped establish the telecommunications offerings for Ernst & Young. He was later vice president and account executive for Capgemini’s Emerging Markets Telecommunications practice.
