    Laura Giangiuli

Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, CALIBRE

Under Laura Giangiuli’s leadership, HR continues to foster a positive workplace culture, ensuring compliance with regulations and aligning human capital with the CALIBRE’s short- and long-term goals. From recruitment and onboarding to talent development and employee relations, her team guides CALIBRE toward optimal performance and sustainable growth.

Over this past year, Giangiuli continued to lead the corporation on a journey to intentionally increase employee engagement and retention while fostering a workplace that values and celebrates differences. The entire CHRO Division signed the “Disability Inclusion Pledge,” signaling its commitment to creating not only a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment but also an accessible workplace for all.

Under Giangiuli’s leadership and direction, HR is passionate about and dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where every employee-owner feels valued and respected. Her work in this area was recognized in 2023 when she was a Washington Business Journal HR Impact Awardee.

“CALIBRE recognizes that our greatest asset is our people, and investing in their development is the key to driving organizational success,” she said.

    Why Watch

Giangiuli and the HR team continue to focus on creating an internal pipeline of talent through professional development, upskilling and a newly launched mentor program. In 2024, she and the HR team are refreshing and revamping the company’s internal training program ⏤ CALIBRE University ⏤ by adding new and relevant courses in business development, remote leadership, belonging and emerging technology.

Additionally, she remains committed to solving the company’s talent shortage by creating employment pathways for underserved communities through corporate partnerships, paid internship opportunities and expanded outreach.

“Laura’s tenure and rise at CALIBRE is something we commend, and I hope her journey inspires our employees that our company is a place they can build a long and successful career,” said Richard Pineda, president and CEO of CALIBRE.

Fun fact: Giangiuli is a fanatical Alabama football fan and plans vacations, family events and her life around the Alabama football season. “I’ve watched the past 10 SEC championship games on my cellphone while at the CALIBRE holiday party,” she said.
