    Northern Virginia Technology Council’s “Greater Washington CFO Awards” Dinner June 1

    The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) will announce the winners of “CFO of the Year” at their “Greater Washington Technology CFO Awards” June 1.

    Nigel Morris, Capital One Financial Service’s co-founder and a managing partner at QED Investors, will also be inducted into the “Michael G. Devine Hall of Fame” at the same dinner. Morris is receiving the award for “his contributions to the Greater Washington region’s technology business community during the course of his career,” according to NVTC.

    Billing the affair as a “gala event,” NVTC will be handing out accolades in four categories for CFOs in the public and private sectors. The finalists are:

    Public Company CFO of the Year:

    • Todd Headley – Sourcefire Inc.
    • Gokul Hemmady – NII Holdings Inc.
    • John Kinzer – Blackboard Inc.
    • Brian Robins – Verisign Inc.
    • Samuel Strickland- Booz Allen Hamilton
    • Ken Tarpey – comScore Inc.

    Private Company CFO of the Year:

    • Lisa Brown – Raytheon Trusted Computer Solutions
    • Greg Cole – K2M Inc.
    • Dana Duffy – NetWitness Corporation
    • Tomas Esterrich – MicroTech
    • Paul Fletcher – Presidio Inc.

    Group/Division CFO of the Year (presented to “the chief financial executive of a significant division or business unit… located in the Greater Washington region and whose parent company is headquartered either here or outside the region”):

    • David Harvey – Northrop Grumman Technical Services
    • Bruce Jarvie – BAE Systems
    • Michael Waple – CGI

    Emerging Growth CFO of the Year (“honoring the chief financial officer of a company with revenue under $25 million”):

    • Robert Aldrich – Parature Inc.
    • Lance Cawley – Insite Wireless Group LLC
    • Joel Reiser – SMARTHINKING Inc.
    • Robert Rosenberg – NTELX
    • Mike Woosley – TidalTV

    The dinner will take place at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Mclean, Virginia. Tickets are $250 a person for members, and $300 a person for non-members. Walk-in tickets will be available if space permits.
