Pet owners can help their animals and pets around the world receive veterinary care with PetCentral, a new app from project management and technology consulting firm, Engineering, Management and Integration, Inc. (EM&I). Available in the Apple App Store and Google Play for Androids, the mobile device application allows users to organize health information, appointments and medications for pets.
Pet owners can use their smartphones and tablets wherever to find veterinarians, parks, and other animal service providers such as groomers and walkers.
PetCentral can also send email reminders to pet owners about appointments, contact a vet during an emergency and email them important pet health information, and help owners research airline pet policies and pet-friendly hotels when traveling.
“Our mission in developing PetCentral is to leverage the power and portability of mobile devices to assist pet owners worldwide,” said Jim Fitzwilliam, president of EM&I. “Whether at home or on-the-go, this easy to use application provides fingertip access to information that pet owners can effectively use to access and manage their pets’ providers, resources and records. As an owner of multiple pets myself, I appreciate having this information at my fingertips, so that I don’t forget to do what I am supposed to do!”
The company plans to donate up to $1 million to World Vets, which provides veterinary care to animals in developing countries.
