In 2019 under Vince Vlasho, Accenture’s Defense and Intelligence business expanded the integration of commercial solutions to support clients pursuing digital transformation through multiplatform solutions that enhance efficiency and reliability. This integrated solution model led to several important contract wins, including supporting the Air Force to modernize its payroll, leave-management and core human resources functions.
In addition to applying the strength of its global organization, Accenture takes a human-centered design approach that considers the user experience in its design methodology. For Vlasho, people are the center of this approach throughout, not an afterthought.
Accenture applies its leading position on cloud, combined with analytics, to help federal defense agencies modernize their enterprises.
“DOD agencies are deploying cloud-enabled digital services, including artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies to translate their vast storehouses of data into mission-advancing insights and operational efficiencies,” said Vlasho, who serves as defense portfolio lead. “Accenture is excited about helping them advance their innovation and technology modernization goals.”
Why Watch:
Enterprise systems, human centered design, intelligent services, cloud computing, AI/analytics and robotic process automation are big focus areas in 2020. Additionally, Vlasho is looking to expand Accenture’s Defense and Intelligence business into extended reality, blockchain and quantum computing.
