The Intelligence and National Security Alliance is hosting a full-day symposium on professional issues women encounter within the intelligence community and while pursuing national security careers.

INSA’s symposium, “The New IC: Empowering Women and Engaging Men,” takes place May 17 at the NRECA Conference Center in Arlington, Virginia. The event will feature high-ranking women in the Defense Intelligence Agency, U.S. Air Force, Department of Homeland Security, defense contractors, and national security-focused publications, with keynote addresses by Sue Gordon, principal deputy director of national intelligence, and Lynn Dugle, CEO of Engility.

The event will include panel discussions such as:

    • “Getting to the Next Step: Learning to Lead”
    • “From a Moment to a Movement: Amazing Women in the IC”
    • “Women in Technology: Bridging the Gap”
    • “The Mentoring Relationship: Men as Allies”

Attendees will be also able to participate in the annual “Mother, Daughter, Sister, Spy” luncheon hosted by the International Spy Museum, among other networking opportunities throughout the day.
