IronArch Technology was named one of Washington Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work” for 2017 for the second year in a row, placing in the small business category.
The company, which is four years old, is a consultancy and IT services firm focused on the federal government. Washington Business Journal’s list honors companies that prioritize employee culture and satisfaction, choosing finalists through anonymous employee surveys.
“I am so proud to have our company recognized again as a great place to work,” said Joe Punaro, president of IronArch. “This award shows that even through our growth we are maintaining a culture where employees feel involved and invested in the company and in our customers.”
Washington Business Journal will rank the winners at a June 22 awards event at the Mead Center for American Theater, and will feature the winners in a special supplement issue of the journal.
IronArch said it remains committed to organic growth through new contract wins, taking on meaningful and challenging projects while building a collegial work environment.
Communication and feedback are key to building a positive work environment, which can be a challenge when the company’s distributed team works mainly on client sites, according to IronArch. To further communication and feedback, IronArch distributes quarterly newsletters as well as regular group and personal communication from the president, and also conducts “stay interviews” to collect feedback and help employees plot out their path forward with the company. Employees also come together participate in a number of company social events including happy hours and sporting events, IronArch said.
