John Murphy drives the strategic growth of cybersecurity products and cross-domain solutions for the defense and intelligence community at BAE Systems. These products are a key component of a defense-in-depth approach to cybersecurity, specifically for network boundary protection.
Through customer collaboration and mission-focus, Murphy and the team significantly grew the CDS business by introducing new solutions to the U.S. market. Their hardware-based CDS provide an even higher level of security with the speed of field programmable gate arrays. They launched small-form factor and tactical CDS to support missions outside of the wire with all the benefits of connecting back to the cloud for the warfighter. These flexible and scalable solutions meet growing needs without compromising on cost or performance.
“By fostering collaborative relationships with our customers, we understand their unique challenges and opportunities around network resilience and threat deterrence,” Murphy said. “We help navigate complex technical needs while meeting government requirements. There is a strategic focus on usability and security where we provide custom, high-performing, and cost-effective solutions.”
CDS implement multiple layers of hardware and software-based redundancies and failsafes. A collection of carefully designed and stringently tested components enforce a predefined policy for highly sensitive network boundaries. These products accelerate secure software delivery. They enable sharing and managing of battlefield and intelligence data from all sources and domains to carry out critical missions across the globe.
