Vice President, Federal Health and Civilian, Excella
Since taking on the role of leading Excella Federal Health and Civilian group, Jimmy Benani has helped Excella nearly double its presence in that market.
In the process, Excella helped clients take on some of its toughest digital transformation challenges by introducing the adoption of new cloud technologies, maturing their use of modern data and analytics practices leveraging AI/ML and leveraging organization transformation practices to increase adoption of these digital initiatives.
In 2023, Benani and his team are poised to continue the rapid growth they’ve seen in the last several years in the federal health space. Excella continues to invest in bringing data and analytics innovation to its clients around artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, ML Ops and data governance. These data solutions will support critical governmentwide priorities around grants management, Medicare/Medicaid, opioid use, pandemic spending fraud, and adoption of the federal data strategy.
“It is an honor to have the opportunity to work with a team of Excellians dedicated to supporting our federal clients,” Benani said. “Our clients are leading some of the most important government-wide transformation programs and have established a true collaboration model with our teams for shared success. I’m really proud of the trust and partnership we’ve established to bring innovation and deliver meaningful solutions.”
Benani is passionate about Excella’s purpose, driving innovation and value for his clients, said Sandy Gillespie, chief operating officer at Excella.
“Jimmy is a well-respected leader across the firm’s federal health and civilian clients and teams,” she said. “His leadership enables Excella to deliver impactful solutions to our health focused clients, addressing their pressing challenges and driving greater outcomes through innovation. He empowers his teams through a culture of accountability, flexibility and transparency, making him a valuable leader and Excellian. These characteristics have been called out and recognized by executives across the firm’s clients.”
