    Celso Puente, CGI Federal

Federal IT veteran Celso Puente has joined CGI Federal as vice president of the marketing and communications department.

In his new role, Puente will oversee marketing and communications as the company positions itself for growth in cyber, cloud, space and intelligent automation.

“I was drawn to CGI for its commitment to building a strong workplace culture founded on respect and belonging,” Puente said.

“CGI leads the IT industry as a systems integrator and strategic advisor to its federal clients; but it is also a leader in creating safe, inclusive and supportive environments for its members to thrive. I’m thrilled to be at an organization that exudes those values and brings them to its clients every day,” he added.

Puente brings over 25 years of federal marketing communications experience, with expertise in marketing and communications tools that help raise organizations’ storytelling profiles and improve opportunities for marketplace growth.

“We are excited to welcome Mr. Puente to the CGI team,” said Stephanie Mango, CGI Federal president. “Mr. Puente’s extensive federal expertise will help us bring stories of digital transformation, innovation and community engagement from CGI’s global customers and leverage them to the federal marketplace.”
