Christina Murata
Managing Director, Deloitte
From her tenure as a federal senior executive, Christina Murata has relentlessly tackled complex issues such as securing dangerous pathogens in the former Soviet Union to real-time detection and mitigation of airborne chemical and biological threats. Now, as a managing director at Deloitte, her focus is on providing defense and homeland security clients with innovative, scalable solutions that address the nation’s most pressing needs.
Recognizing the national security paradigm shift to near-peer competition requires a major pivot in government policy, Murata and her team developed a series of strategy labs to identify and evaluate the immediate and long-term strategic and operational impacts of NPC.
Additionally, she leads a team incubating new tools to empower national security clients with cutting-edge capabilities focused on NPC.
Murata has also developed a portfolio in operational data science that applies innovative tools and tactics from the commercial world to give clients an edge in intelligence, readiness and improved decision-making. For example, her team has developed a commercially enabled intelligence capability that identifies anomalous behaviors consistent with illicit trafficking in nuclear, chemical and biological materials.
