Scotty Miller
Vice President, Supply Chain Management, General Dynamics Mission Systems
The biggest achievement for General Dynamics Mission Systems’ supply chain team has been its ability to navigate around many of the challenges the pandemic presents in the supply chain ecosystem.
General Dynamics Mission Systems managed these challenges through its Supplier 360 management platform that provides supplier onboarding, supplier relationship management and supplier compliance in one seamless workflow, as well as the development of an internal Component Crisis Response Team responsible for monitoring and analyzing risks and trends of the availability, lead time and pricing for the many commodities the business purchases.
“Supply chains evolve over time, in some eras more quickly than others,” said Scotty Miller, vice president of supply chain management. “The coming years will likely be one of those eras of dramatic transformation thanks to a combination of accelerating technology development and widespread experimentation with new operating models and the realization of what impact a pandemic can have on supply chains.”
