    Brett McMillen

Director, Strategic Partners, Amazon Distribution and Fulfillment Services

Brett McMillen spent his first 10 years at Amazon Web Services running the federal civilian sales team. There, his team was able to help the government help its citizens and successfully provide IT services.

In the last year, McMillen moved over to Amazon Distribution and Fulfillment Services to run the public sector partner organization. In that time, McMillen and his team has helped states with COVID-19 test distributions.

For example, the states of Colorado and Washington have been buying COVID-19 test kits In bulk, and ADFS has been receiving those, putting them into their fulfillment centers and delivering them to the people that need them.

“I’ve spent most of my career helping the government help the people,” McMillen said. “I’m really excited about what we’re doing on the supply chain side of things because, in partnering with contractors that are working with the federal government and governments throughout the world, we have the potential to improve the lives of millions of people, and that’s what excites me.”

    Why Watch

In 2022, McMillen and his team will be working with public sector customers to help with supply chain challenges. They will also continue to work in health care to support pandemic-related responses and ensure citizens receive the resources they need.

“We’re going to help the government make their experience on delivering items more like an Amazon Prime-type experience,” McMillen said.
