    Nisa Moore, GDIT

    Nisa Moore

Vice President, Diplomacy, General Dynamics Information Technology

One of Nisa Moore’s greatest professional achievements in 2020-’21 was leading a team through the COVID-19 pandemic while continuing to drive innovation in cyber, cloud and supply chain risk.

Moore successfully pivoted the GDIT business model to provide leadership to virtual and essential teams worldwide.

Additionally, Moore reinvested in her career and personal development. She was selected as GDIT’s business area vice president for diplomacy; named the executive sponsor for GDIT’s For Women’s Advancement, Recognition and Development employee resource group; and chosen to the board of directors for the Association of Supply Chain Management.

Moore’s leadership has been key in building a world-class logistics solution for the State Department on its flagship logistics and supply chain program, said Paul Nedzbala, senior vice president of GDIT’s Federal Civilian Division.

“Her focus and agility has been critical on the program, assisting the agency as they navigated impacts of the pandemic,” he said. “She has led her team through many challenges including travel restrictions, employee safety protocols and supply chain disruptions in the past two years. Through it all, Nisa has embodied a mission-first focus for her team and displayed GDIT’s commitment to customer service and execution excellence.”

    Why Watch

Moore’s primary focus going forward is to bring innovation and diverse perspectives to GDIT customers.

“In these uncertain times, we are facing a talent crisis the likes of which we have not seen before, so it is vital to be able to provide mentorship and contributions to the community,” she said.

Empowering a person’s career by providing actionable tools along with knowledge and networking skills for empowerment allows their careers to grow, and Moore is laser focused on educating, certifying and giving a career path to those interested.

“Spend time reflecting on developing yourself, your goals and your career so that you can take intentional risks and be comfortable with the uncomfortable,” she said. “Take action on your goals to prepare yourself in the best way possible to take those intentional risks. Give back to your community. You will be surprised at how rewarding those networks and opportunities can be.”
