Jai Spivey, vice president of federal contracts at Parsons, has won WashingtonExec’s 2021 Pinnacle Award for Contracts Industry Executive of the Year.

WashingtonExec on Dec. 8 virtually unveiled the winners of the Pinnacle Awards, an annual program that embodies the WashingtonExec spirit of highlighting successful executives and businesses saving money and fostering innovation for federal clients across the region.

Spivey noted some key achievements in 2020/2021 included serving as a capture and member of the strategy team for Parsons’ largest contract win: the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineering $2.2 billion contract.

She also led COVID response for more than 1,000 employees accommodating telework and essential worker tracking and reporting. The process was labeled as a model for COVID management within the Missile Defense Agency.

Going forward, government and industry collaboration is at the top of her list.

“If we’re truly to maximize our capabilities for the warfighter, we, government and industry, have to be willing to build meaningful relationships that facilitate collaboration to identify the best solutions to the nation’s most difficult problems quicker than our adversaries,” Spivey said.
