Leidos announced Thomas P. Michelli has joined as cyber operations and cybersecurity strategic account executive. He will be responsible for enhancing business growth across the company’s cyber-related portfolio of programs, services and solutions.

Michelli brings more than 30 years of military and cyber experience. He has served in senior executive service positions at both the departments of Defense and Homeland Security.

“Tom’s extensive military experience and cyber expertise will allow him to build and sustain trusted relationships with defense, intelligence and federal-civil customers,” said Bill Bender, Leidos senior vice president of strategic accounts and government relations. “He will serve as a key asset to Leidos as we continue to expand our cyber capabilities and reach new markets.”

Michelli’s prior roles include vice director of Command, Control, Communications and Computers (C4)/Cyber; deputy chief information officer for the Joint Chiefs of Staff/J6; acting principal deputy DOD CIO; and deputy CIO for cybersecurity at DOD.

He served most recently as chief cloud customer success officer for SAP National Security Services, responsible for cloud customer migration outcomes in the national security and commercial regulated industry sectors.
