A-TEK, Inc. has hired long-time government contracting executive Steve Erd as vice president of business development and capture.

With over 20 years of federal contracting experience, Erd is to lead the business development organization to execute the new business growth strategy through customer engagement, strategic positioning, solutions development, and internal and external partner relationships.

Before joining A-TEK, Erd served in a similar capacity with Unissant, Lexis/Nexus and Northrop Grumman achieving growth objectives in targeted health and civilian agencies.

“My career began in public service and I am honored to continue supporting government missions with value added solutions as part of this experienced, dynamic A-TEK team,” he said.

As A-TEK and its subsidiary Mackson Consulting continue to grow its presence in federal health, Erd is a welcomed addition to the team, said A-TEK’s President and CEO Kathryn Freeland.

“With Steve’s Federal health experience, including HHS HQ, NIH, CMS and FDA, we are poised to leverage his experience and approach to business growth that has led to a successful 20 plus year GovCon track record,” she added.
