Amid the national scramble to respond to COVID-19, A-TEK, Inc., reports it has taken proactive measures to support one of its federal health customers with tracking its COVID-19 remediation efforts.

These efforts aimed to bring impacted spaces back online for use after each positive case of COVID-19 was reported, across the agency’s roughly 23 million square feet real property portfolio.

A-TEK President and CEO Kathryn Freeland said she was proud of how the team saw the need and came together with the customer to deliver a solution.

“The solution enabled them to track the location of active COVID-19 cases, and therefore, immediately deploy safety and decontamination measures which helped minimize the spread of COVID-19 across the agency – #savedlives,” she said.

In just 10 days, A-TEK developed a COVID-19 tracker using integrated Archibus and ESRI GIS capabilities. The tracker shows the path of the infection and offers a centralized workflow to track space closure, decontamination and re-opening.

The company reports its tool has been acknowledged at the department level as one of the measures this agency uses in its multifaceted response to identify and mitigate COVID-19 contamination in its buildings, floors and rooms.
