Dear members, readers and GovCon community:
We are facing an unprecedented time when many are concerned about their and their loved ones’ health and safety. WashingtonExec prides itself on always putting its members first and we have therefore decided to cancel all our events until further notice.
Our first Chief Officer Awards will now take place Nov. 5, 2020, and the Pinnacle Awards will be rescheduled for spring 2021. All nominations will be moved and evaluated in the fall. We would like to thank everyone who submitted a nomination.
Instead of in-person events, we are now focusing on online engagement and creating content that will help inform and educate the community amid a worldwide crisis.
This is an opportunity for us to be creative with content, whether it’s through podcasts or the written word.
In the coming weeks, we will continue to share what GovCon businesses are doing to keep their employees healthy and safe, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and promote wellness within the community. We will highlight practical information, best practices and tips. We will also continue to cover the leaders, decision-makers and executives of consequence as well as news about executive moves, M&A and contract wins.
We urge everyone in the broader GovCon community to come together — while practicing social distancing — and continue to take measures to keep everyone safe. Our community is resilient and has weathered many storms before. This is just another challenge we will overcome.
Best,
JD Kathuria and the WashingtonExec team
