ASRC Federal has named Jean Marie “Jeannie” Kranz senior director to oversee business development and strategy of the company’s NASA Houston operations.

Kranz will provide strategic leadership to advance and foster ASRC Federal’s partnerships with customers and industry partners within the Houston market and across NASA.

“We are delighted to welcome Jeannie Kranz to our team as we look to expand our Houston operations and our support of NASA Johnson Space Center missions,” said Scott “Scooter” Altman, former NASA astronaut and ASRC Federal senior vice president of civil programs. “Her passion for space advocacy and leadership in policy development is recognized throughout the civilian and defense aerospace industry.”

Kranz has advocated for human space flight and space exploration for more than three decades, leading various organizations advance space industry development across the country. She served most recently as senior adviser of space policy for congressman Brian Babin, representing Texas’ 36th congressional district.

“I’m excited to join ASRC Federal and bring our technical expertise and a broad set of capabilities to the Houston market,” Kranz said.  “The mission focus of ASRC Federal, our people-first culture, and our extensive space flight mission-relevant capabilities and offerings provide a unique combination that deeply resonates with me and I am confident will resonate with future customers as well.”
