Perspecta’s Lorraine Corcoran on Oct. 31 won the WashingtonExec Pinnacle Award for the Marketing Executive of the Year.

Lorraine Corcoran, vice president of corporate and marketing communications at Perspecta, was one of two winners of the WashingtonExec Pinnacle Award for the Marketing Executive of the Year.

In its second year, the annual Pinnacle Awards luncheon was held Oct. 31 at the Ritz Carlton Tysons Corner. The luncheon drew over 525 GovCon leaders and professionals, and showcased exemplary GovCon leadership in industry and government.

Corcoran, who has been with Perspecta since the company went public in June 2018, oversees advances in the company’s brand, value proposition and competitive position with customers and stakeholders. She was named Perspecta’s VP of corporate marketing and communications when the company officially announced the formation of its leadership team last year.

Before her current position, Corcoran was VP of corporate communications at Vencore for more than three years, and prior to that, she was senior director of marketing and communications for Finmeccanica North America and DRS Technologies, Inc., for nine years.

Corcoran has also held management positions with Affiliated Computer Services (later acquired by Xerox) and BellSouth Telecommunications (later acquired by AT&T).

Corcoran’s time in the public sector has focused on coordinating external marketing and communication activities across businesses that deliver solutions to all branches of the U.S. armed forces and other government agencies. She has spearheaded internal leadership communications programs aimed at driving business results, has developed and executed strategic marketing plans and has experience implementing domestic and global growth strategies.
