Technology solutions company Applied Insight has won a $16 million task order to provide cybersecurity and information assurance services to the Air Force Air Mobility Command.

As part of this order, AI’s cybersecurity team will provide technical services to support AMC’s command and control systems. AI engineers will make sure C2 system performance is aligned with DOD, Air Force and AMC cybersecurity, RMF and system authorization standards.

The company will focus on standardizing security documentation and engineering, security testing, auditing and intrusion detection functions across the C2 program.

Under the deal, the company will leverage its cyber team’s expertise in defensive cyber operations and intimacy with Defense Department risk management framework compliance, said John Hynes, Applied Insight CEO.

“We’re looking forward to playing our part in sustaining AMC’s ability to support U.S. armed forces whenever and wherever they are needed around the world,” he added.
