VT Group announced Sunil Ramchand has joined as president and chief growth officer and will be responsible for steering strategic growth in both corporate and business development.

Ramchand will also join the board of the director of the systems integrator and C4ISR provider.

Ramchand’s previoius roles include CEO of Mission Essential between 2015 and 2018, during which he helped transform the company into a global leader in language and cultural advisory services and deepened its ties with the U.S. intelligence community.

Before joining Mission Essential in 2009, Ramchand held military and civilian leadership positions at the White House during the administrations of Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama. Ramchand served as an active-duty naval surface warfare officer and later as a Defense Department civilian.

Ramchand has degrees from the U.S. Naval Academy and Harvard University, and is a board member of the Navy League of the United States.

“I am pleased to welcome Sunil to VT Group,” said John Hassoun, VT Group president and CEO. “His transformative leadership, strong business acumen, and deep industry expertise will be a catalyst to accelerate VT Group’s growth in new and existing markets.”
