Blue Capital Partners has named Dave Keffer a general partner at the growth capital firm. Keffer is the former chief financial officer of CSRA who helped shepherd the company’s multibillion-dollar sale to General Dynamics earlier this year.
“Dave is a well-established market leader in Government Services, having won multiple ‘CFO of the Year’ awards and managed two of the most transformative deals in the industry in recent years, and we are flattered to have him on our team,” said Blue Delta co-founder Mark Frantz.
Blue Delta co-founder Kevin Robbins added, “Having worked with Dave over a decade ago at SRA, I am not surprised that he rose to be among the best of the best executives in our sector, and I know that the management teams that we partner with and invest in will greatly benefit from his experience and well-rounded expertise.”
Most recently, Keffer held the role of CFO at CSRA, which he helped to take public in November 2015 and later helped sell to General Dynamics for $9.7 billion.
During his tenure at CSRA, Keffer also helped lead various integration initiatives stemming from the merger of SRA and CSC Government Services, which created CSRA.
Earlier, Keffer worked as CFO at SRA. Keffer holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
“I am thrilled to be joining Blue Delta Capital as a General Partner,” Keffer said. “The firm has developed a great reputation, culture and track record making equity investments for non-controlling ownership stakes, and I am very much looking forward to my new career here, investing in the best Government Services companies and their teams. I know what it is like to grow a company in this sector, the opportunities and the challenges involved, and I am excited to partner with Phil, Kevin, Mark, Todd, Darren and team as our firm helps good companies achieve great new heights.”
