Telos Identity Management Solutions, LLC (Telos ID) was awarded a subcontract under IndraSoft, Inc.’s $64 million, multiyear contract to provide the U.S. Census Bureau with nationwide identity verification, fingerprinting and photograph services for over 500,000 workers to be hired across the U.S. and U.S. territories.
Mandated by the U.S. Constitution, the census takes place every 10 years and counts every resident in the United States. Among other things, the results of the 2020 Decennial Census will help determine how federal funding is distributed to states and localities and will provide the foundation for electoral district reapportionment at all levels of government.
“We are excited to partner with IndraSoft to provide this valuable service to the U.S. Census Bureau. By extending a nationwide network of secure fingerprint enrollment sites and services for the 2020 Census, we will provide mission critical support to the bureau’s recruiting and onboarding process. The success we had with the 2018 End-to-End Census Test could not have happened without a strong IndraSoft and Census partnership, paving the way for our continued work together to support the 2020 Census,” said Mark Griffin, president and general manager of Telos ID.
“IndraSoft is very pleased to partner with Telos ID and the Census Bureau to support this vital effort of securing an accurate count of the nearly 330 million individuals who reside in the U.S.,” said Neeraja Lingam, CEO of IndraSoft. “The census has enormous implications for many government functions that affect the American people, and we are proud to be a part of this effort to ensure its success.”
