Technica Hires Mark Cabrey As CFO

Technica Corp. has hired Mark Cabrey, an industry veteran with more than 30 years experience in the federal and commercial information services markets, as chief financial officer.

Cabrey joins Technica from Phacil, where he spent four years, first as CFO and later as president and chief operating officer. He previously served as the corporate controller at Apptis, and led the 2011 sale of the company to URS, Technica said.

Technica, which provides high-end system engineering services to defense, intelligence, law enforcement and federal civilian agencies, said Cabrey’s track record as a CFO and his extensive customer and corporate relationships, will continue to elevate the company’s standing in the government IT industry.

“We are pleased to have Mark join the company,” Technica co-founder Bill Groah said. “I look forward to watching him lead contracts, human resources, accounting and financial management functions to benefit our customers, the senior leadership team and the entire company.”

Miguel Collado, Technica co-founder and CEO, echoed that sentiment, saying Cabrey will help transform the company for the future.

“His proven business acumen, financial insight, operational skills and extensive government IT industry experience will help us deliver even greater value to our customers,” Collado said.

Technica recently expanded its leadership team by adding a new vice president of business development 2017, naming Doug Sickler to the role. Sickler is a former U.S. Navy officer, who previously led sales and capture organizations at Unisys and Dell Services.
