2018 marks the seventh year of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance‘s Innovators’ Showcase and an opportunity for government contracting firms to look at new ways to solve challenges in the intelligence community.
Kevin Kelly, who chairs INSA’s Technology and Innovation Council and serves as LGS Innovations CEO, discussed the event recently on “Government Matters.”
INSA and partner organizations will be accepting one-page, unclassified, nonproprietary abstracts for the upcoming Innovators’ Showcase. This event will bring together members of academia and industry for the opportunity to present their research to leading government science and technology members.
“It’s a great way for us to find that nontraditional R&D, that nontraditional technology and get it applied without putting too much burden on them,” Kelly said.
At last year’s event, more than 70 government scientists and technologists participated and provided constructive feedback to presenters. Past observers include representatives from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Defense Department and other intelligence community agencies.
Areas of interest this year include internet of things, evolving theater of space, artificial intelligence, data intelligence, multimission solutions and other game-changing ideas.
Abstracts are due March 14, invitations to present will be sent in mid-April and presentations will be given at the showcase May 10 in McLean, Virginia. For more information and guidelines, click here.
