    Mara Motherway, Booz Allen Hamilton

Government technology services firm Booz Allen Hamilton has named Mara Motherway head of government relations, effective June 1.

Motherway was the firm’s business development executive for military intelligence before the move. Before coming to Booz Allen, she was a business development and strategy executive at BAE Systems.

Her new responsibilities include strengthening the firm’s relationships in federal government and delivering expertise on public policy issues.

She has nearly 25 years of government and private sector experience and is a retired Naval officer and Naval Academy graduate. Her experience includes supporting Marine Corps combat operations during deployment to the Middle East and leading the Pentagon Division of the Joint Intelligence Task Force for Counter Terrorism.

She has also provided acquisition oversight of the Defense Department Satellite Communications portfolio and managed legislative affairs for the Defense Intelligence Agency. She served as strategic adviser to the DIA director.

“With Mara’s sophisticated level of government and business development expertise, she will help us to provide even greater support for clients and drive growth through strong foundational relationships across government, think tanks and academia,” said Nancy Laben, Booz Allen’s chief legal officer and executive vice president.
