IT services provider MetroStar Systems Inc. announced Jan. 25 the appointment of Christine Couch to senior vice president of defense and intel. She is charged with creating and executing strategies that further position MetroStar as a leading provider of technology services for the Defense Department and intelligence communities.

“Adding Christine is part of our ongoing strategy to cultivate a well-rounded leadership team,” MetroStar President and Co-founder Robert J. Santos said. “Her ideas and guidance will be critical in helping us expand our footprint in the defense and intel markets, and help our customers better understand MetroStar’s unique capabilities.”

“It’s an honor to join the MetroStar team and be part of an organization that values diversity, encourages innovation and strives to provide leading-edge solutions,” Couch said. “I look forward to the opportunities ahead of us as we continue growing our defense and intel presence.”

Couch brings to the position more than 20 years of federal contracting experience with agencies including the Army, Navy, DOD and Homeland Security. She most recently served as CSRA’s director of operations.

As SVP of defense and intel, Couch will work with current and future customers to develop customized approaches for securing IT infrastructures by leveraging an agile service delivery model to provide faster, more cost-effective results. In addition, she will work closely with the executive team to develop strategies that will continue to accelerate MetroStar’s industry growth average of 16 percent.
