IndraSoft announced Dec. 7 that its customer, the Air Force Enterprise Configuration Management Office (AFECMO) Windows 10 Security Host Baseline Team, is one of eight teams to win the 2016 Dept. of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Officer Annual Award for Cyber and IT Excellence.

“We are excited to be part of the AFECMO Windows 10 Security Host Baseline Team that includes personnel from the PEO for Business and Enterprise Systems and other organizations (AFECMO, NIST, DISA, NSA, SAF-CIO and others),” IndraSoft Director of Operations (Air Force) J.B. Carteret said. “Our team was involved in building, testing and supporting a secure Windows 10 desktop configuration with over 1,000 configuration settings, with over 500 of those addressing security. Furthermore, our team led the charge in the development of application packaging efforts for software used as core and optional capabilities on the Security Host Baseline. This baseline is expected to be used by more than 3,000,000 users across DoD once fully deployed. The tireless efforts of the AFECMO Team have provided an extraordinary mission assurance capability for the DoD.”

The AFECMO team is supported by IndraSoft’s Montgomery, Ala. office and part of the combined government/contractor effort that developed the Windows 10 Secure Host Baseline for the DoD.
