CALIBRE Systems, Inc. has received the Gold Star Mothers Distinguished Service Medal for its exemplary support of the Gold Star Mothers Family Monument.
This is the second year CALIBRE has been actively involved in raising awareness and funds to support the Gold Star Mothers Family Monument, which has been authorized by Congress to be located on federal land within the National Capital Region.
With the support of the National Park Service, the plan is to place the monument adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery. The monument is expected to be positioned to the right of the ANC Visitors Center so it can be easily observed and visited.
“CALIBRE is passionate about supporting our nation’s veterans, their families and caregivers, and we recognize the sacrifices of Gold Star Families,” said Joe Martore, CALIBRE president and CEO. “The effort to establish this national monument aligns directly with CALIBRE’s corporate objective to be good citizens.”
American Gold Star Mothers is an organization of mothers who have lost a son or daughter in service to our country. The veterans service organization wasestablished in 1928 and chartered by Congress in 1984. American Gold Star Mothers continue to honor their sons and daughters through service to veterans and patriotic events.
