NET ESOLUTIONS CORP. announced Aug. 9 its plans to pilot its NETE Labs concept – a research unit developing in-house expertise in digital technologies, research analytics and business intelligence. NETE Labs acquired a cloud computing infrastructure for its activities and will use data from public and commercial data sources in its research projects.

The labs will be powered by a hybrid team composed of a core group stationed at NETE headquarters and satellite offices in the D.C. metro area, along with a larger, virtually-connected group of collaborators from academia and industry. Personnel will work either full-time in the lab or contribute efforts off-hours.

Results of the projects will be shared with a larger community through conference presentations, journals and grey literature publications implementing open data, open access and open source philosophy.

NETE Labs seeks inquiries from federal customers who wish to participate in the company’s pilot projects, along with students who have advanced programming skills.
