On May 6, technology solutions provider Altamira Technologies Corporation acquired Prime Solutions LLC, a cyber operations company that supports various customers in the U.S. intelligence community.

As a result of this acquisition Altamira will gain easier access to offerings across multiple customer agencies, proven infrastructure for investing in and bringing research and development to market, and development and deployment of versatile employees with broad mission perspective and experiences.

“We are very excited to welcome the Prime Solutions team into Altamira,” Altamira President and CEO Ted Davies said. “Their strong focus on the success of their people and their customers fits perfectly with our culture. We look forward to bringing their significant cyber operations capabilities across the breadth of our portfolio of customers and to broadening and deepening our relationship with NSA through them.”

“Our global landscape remains a volatile ecosystem where solutions must outpace the ever evolving threats from our adversaries,” Altamira Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Jonathan Moneymaker said. “The acquisition of Prime Solutions into the Altamira platform accelerates both companies’ strategic objectives in delivering world class solutions to the national security market.”

“We’ve built a mission critical offering over the past decade and I couldn’t be more thrilled to capitalize on the synergy of joining Altamira. The combination of forces represents a true differentiator to our customers and to our employees. Our mantra of Key People in Critical Places remains true and now we, together, have the scale to expand,” Prime Solutions CEO Paul Barsotti said.

“On a macro basis, this deal is another example of private, mid-tier firms aggressively using M&A (like the bigger firms do) to strategically reposition themselves,” KippsDeSanto & Co. Managing Director Robert D. Kipps said. “For Altamira, Prime Solutions brings new technology capabilities and provides them more critical mass with Maryland-based, national Intel customers – a double whammy strategically.”
